Anonymous asked: i have been eating my breakfast and lunch vegan and my dinners are vegetarians (bc my mom cooks for the family) im 15 and the only way i see going completely vegan would be to make my own dinners, but i know absolutely nothing about cooking actual meals. for breakfast i have fruit and cereal and for lunch and snacks i have veggies, fruit, crackers, bagels & pb, nuts, and clif bars.. but I don't know how/what to cook. any ideas??
I was the same age when I went vegan:) Congratulations and thank you for your efforts so far and you can totally do this! Maybe your family (if they already eat vegetarian) will even try some of your food and realize how yummy it is! Depending on what your mom is cooking you may be able to veganize it very easily (ie. omitting cheese, replacing butter with olive or coconut oil, etc.) As far as making things on your own, there are SO many simple options that can be made with widely available ingredients for cheap! Here’s a few things off the top of my head that don’t require any out of the ordinary ingredients.
-pasta with marinara sauce, veggies and chickpeas (sometimes adding a little cayenne pepper can give it a nice kick)
-quickly stir fry rice in a pan with (fresh or frozen) veggies, garlic, soy sauce or liquid aminos, and whatever else you like (ginger, peanut butter, etc?)
-Black beans, salsa, garlic, rice, maybe a little onion, and vegan cheese if you have access to it. Some kind of fruit for dessert maybe?
-pasta with nutritional yeast, a little unsweetened almond or soymilk, vegan butter or cheese if you have access to it (otherwise omit), salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Maybe a salad on the side.
-Quinoa or lentil salad with tomatoes, basil, a little olive oil, and whatever else you want to throw in. Mashed sweet potato on the side (you can just steam it in the microwave).
If you feel like looking up vegan recipes to try, there are a lot of simple and easy on vegweb.com. It can be a lot of fun, too! I wish you the best of luck, love!

Anonymous asked: I am not sick. I am sorry realism is so offputting for you, creatures die the world moves on I do not care and I think you must be lying if you say you can truly care about some animal you've never met or known. The only animals you seems to care about on your blog are the ones that are 'cute' adorable cows and whatnot. Face reality.
creatures die. death is unavoidable, that’s true. murder is not. rape is not. torture and abuse are not. we as humans are in full control of that and it is truly sick to see this and not give a fuck. i feel sorry for you, dear friend. hurt people hurt others. you cannot possibly be at peace until you end the cycle of misery you contribute to and stop consuming the products of death. i truly love and care for all beings on this earth and i realize that i am them and they are me. we are all one. i don’t care how cute they are, that doesn’t determine their worth. i love them all. i do find it extremely hypocritical of you to say i favor certain species when you yourself have just admitted to it. so much love to you. get well soon:)
Anonymous asked: why should i care about the death of animals? I care about only the passing of my own genetics and my family as a failsafe for such. I do not care how many countless thousands die or what for. I enjoy steak and venison and veal and pheasant and partridge and chicken and rabbit and lamb I do not care about them at all. I do not care about the death of anyone or anything so long as It does not effect me directly.
i feel so bad for you. sending you love, and i hope one day you get better. i’m sorry you are so ill:(
